Park Ave Residential Terrace

This Park Avenue residential terrace was designed for a busy and active family of five. The narrow wraparound terrace is only ten feet wide, but is a total of 1500 square feet. The design was intended to both match the modern-art filled interior, and to accommodate the needs of the whole family. Included in the design was a green roof, murals, a sculptural bench, and hand-hammered bluestone paving.

As a pre-war building on the Upper East Side, there were even more stringent NYC building codes and building bylaws in place than normal. We advocated for the client's vision to the Dept of Buildings and successfully navigated the various restrictions to deliver the final product that our client desired.
