This 1200 square foot residential terrace was completed in 2016.

The owners are art collectors who love to entertain, so they wanted the exterior views and design to be as pleasing and interesting as the art inside.

In order to take full advantage of the amazing views, we raised the center of the terrace so the cityscape and river could be seen over the parapet wall while still adhering to building regulations.

A louvered pergola was installed to allow light into the apartment when opened, but also to provide full shade and protection from rain when closed.

Since the clients travel frequently, they wanted a very low-maintenance garden with a modern feel. Various grasses, hostas, boxwoods, and hydrangeas helped achieve this goal.
