The goal for this 600 square-foot residential courtyard in Chelsea was to create modern-entertainment spaces while largely maintaining a sense of privacy from the surrounding buildings.

We utilized the space to create a flow of outdoor "rooms" with an intimate feel. The dining area beneath the custom louvered pergola can seat up to twelve people, while the lounge seating and outdoor kitchen/island can accommodate smaller gatherings.

Retractable shade canopies cover the lounge seating and kitchen area when desired, while the overhead string lights provide additional night-time ambience.
